President, Fernie Vacation Properties
When you purchase a home from Fernie Vacation Properties, rest assured that you are buying from Fernie's most accomplished real estate developer and builder. Fernie Vacation Properties and its founder Michael Delich have developed the most extensive portfolio of signature Resort Properties at the Fernie Alpine Resort and in Fernie.
Michael Delich is a passionate skier and a third generation native of southern British Columbia. His expertise in the ski and resort industries have been skillfully acquired through membership in the Professional Engineers of British Columbia, a Masters degree in business from Canada's Ivey School of Business, Canadian Home Builders Association and the Federation International du Ski, Emeritus FIS Delegate. Delich's passion and leadership in skiing has been shown as Chief of Race for the Men's Downhill ski events at the 1988 Calgary Olympics and as an international ski official for the Men's ski events at the Torino Olympics in 2006. His most notable achievements have been his daughters' skiing success with the Canadian Ski Team and with NCAA racing in the United States.
This long time Fernie resident saw the potential for resort living in 1989 when the first Timberline Lodge was designed and built. The developments have continued with Juniper Lodge, Snow Creek Cabins, Polar Peak Lodges, Fernie Golf Estates, and Bear Paw Lodges. Strong architectural design, detailed site planning, hand crafted interiors and quality work are the signature of homes by Fernie Vacation Properties.
